Fall Back into a Good Night’s Sleep

It’s almost time to turn back the clocks! Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00 a.m., which means we’ll have more morning daylight until March.

Although gaining that extra hour sounds wonderful, here are 3 key tips to help you manage the time difference:

Stick to your regularly scheduled bedtime. Going to bed an hour later simply because you have the luxury of that extra hour or the notion that it will “even out” the number of hours you sleep when the clocks go back, may simply extend the time it takes to adjust to the time difference.

Stay tech-free before bedtime. Sleep experts recommend avoiding bright lights and blue light from screens when preparing for sleep. To make it easier to switch into sleep mode, power off all screens at least 30 minutes prior to bedtime. Consider deep breathing exercises or meditation instead.

Busy schedule? Set a reminder on your mobile phone about the time change on November 3rd so you’re not caught off-guard on November 4th. Some people prep for the time change with multiple reminders — on their phone, noted on a wall calendar, or jotted on a stickie.

Did you know?

39% of adults age 45-64 are not getting the recommended seven hours of sleep each day. Are you desperately seeking a good night’s sleep? Click below for more tips that may help.

From Our Customers

I personally do not suffer from daily neck and shoulder pain, but I have flares up from time to time which I have not noticed since using the Spherehead Pillow. Despite my low pain levels, I often wake up with numbness and tingling throughout my arms secondary to my flexed/ “out of alignment” sleeping posture.

When using the Spherehead Pillow, I wake up without or much less severe numbness and tingling because it supports my neck in a neutral position

even when laying on my side.
